WHY PAT-ience?

WearPatienceCo started with a little mistake.

One day, I was trying to tell my husband that he needed a little more patience. I started spelling it out…

P-A-T…

And then my brain completely forgot how to finish the word. 

So I paused, laughed, and finished with “ience.”

And somehow, that little brain-fart turned into something bigger.

P-A-T-ience.

Because when you actually say it out loud, you have no choice but to slow down. You pause before you finish the word.

And that’s exactly what patience is.

A REMINDER TO PAUSE.

Life moves fast. We’re constantly rushing to the next thing, worrying about what’s coming, comparing ourselves to everyone around us, and forgetting to simply slow down.

WearPatienceCo was created as a reminder to do just that.

Pause. Breathe. Give it time.

Whether you’re wearing one of our hats, a favorite tee, or a sweatshirt on a hard day, we want our pieces to remind you that you don’t have to have everything figured out right now.

Sometimes, the pause is where the good stuff happens.

Because patience isn’t always easy.

It’s something we all need a little more of—whether we’re waiting on a dream, raising a family, working toward a goal, healing, growing, or simply trying to get through the day.
